My thoughts exactly
and when the fall ends, they end up on the top of a mountain (still never understood that part)
Well he hits the bottom at some point afaik and makes his way back up :-p
You should've read the book, it's way cooler and completer than the films, There were several pages about this part, if my memory serves me well...
Anyway, that would be kinda imba, but will papakitteh shoot cool flashing thunder out of his claws, or dress up in a white robe after this? :p
afaik, Gandalf is one of five Istari (Wizards with Human appearance). He fell down with the Balrog as Gandalf the Grey from the Bridge of Khazad-dum, appearently killed the Balrog, died as Human and sent back by the Valar as Gandalf the White. How he got up the mountain, I'm not sure. Maybe it's his 'spawn point' :P
Reading LotR at the moment, but I'm not that far yet ;-)
Gandalf and the Balrog fought an epic battle from deep within the earth to the top of the mountain, it's all in the book.
there was stairs... One sec, maby papakitteh and the vallants' king will get to Death-Wing's cave!
Its supposedly the highest peak in the lowest dungon... but were getting off the subject...
which subject? :P

Kagato had the best answer ;)

or.. they could do the LotR scene where Gandalf and the demon fall for ever, fighting as they do ;p
