I'm going with the scroll of unconditional defeat theory.
It's a bit surprising that no one has noticed the two groups being in the same tourney yet o.o
Then again, the human team didn't put up a fight which could mean they won last time they fought them.
That and they made it to the finals as well
How would there be gnome copies in the other team if the gnomes are actually from this version of "reality"?:p
ofc, the benign gnomes will have alter egos in the normal reality. and the alter egos will be kick-ass bad :P (the only problem I did not figured is how did they got here)
The Unstoppable Force meets the Immovable Object. Whoa!
The gnome druids are alter to the murloc alchemists if no one realized that yet...

Bor> ofc, there will be a team with a killer bulls-eye shot Vallant, a megakill stormy elemental tauren shaman, 2 ubersavage feral bear druid gnomes and a pansy scribling orc :D. and what do you know ... "our" team will still win because of the "reflection" shot of Vallant. or maybe because the pansy orc will bore his team mates to death. or because in this alternate reality the orc chieftain casted on the alternate team a scroll of unconditional defeat. or something. :D
