That aint no Gurubashi Punisher m8.... Thats called the Mallet of Zul'Farrak which was needed back in the GOOD OLD days to summon Gahz'rilla. And if my memory serves this one was obtained via quest in the hinterlands and was the only way to get that boss to appear...
Im crying tears of blood cause bliz has discarded EVERYTHING that mattered in the game and filled it with useless bling... now none of these wow-virgins have no idea what they are talking about...
i know that it is the mallet. although it looks like the punisher, so it will probably feel like the punisher in that gorilla's hand....

Meh... if something resmebles something that has been out there longer it cant be resembling the latter addition. In Short the following..
Mallet of Zul'Farrak added in 1.11.1 in 2006
Gurubashi Punisher added in 4.1.0 in 2011
Conclusion= Only a pure wow virgin could compare it to the punisher since the punisher took it skin from the mallet.
If u see something the first time it doesnt mean thats the first ever in the world.
