Actually, it would be "Intercept", in his case -- difference being that he's (most likely) in Berserker Stance rather than Battle ("Charge") or Defensive stance ("Intervene"). Of course, the latter is somewhat irrelevant if this takes place before Intervene were invented, since game mechanics-wise, it was invented before this storyline takes place.
