without this comic we wouldn't have seen the monkey :P
It's his life flashing before his eye, he'll misremember it however he wants to. As for the story arc, maybe he hasn't fully defined what he wants to do in the present, has always wanted to do a past revisited arc such as we're currently going through, and voila. Whatever the reason, quit whining about a free web comic.
I find it hilarious to see that every time someone brings up their concerns in a strictly non-confrontational manner (that translates into 'not flaming') there's always someone else to call it 'whining'. And yes, I am whining about someone else whining about someone [not actually] whining. I need a life.

FIRST... to say that nobody cares. :P
I still don't see the direction this particular story arc is going. It contradicts the early comics (though that's easy enough to fix) and just seems like a random excuse to draw everyone as kids. And it came at the strangest time, too. Being nuked by Deathwing leads to a flashback about being kids? Okay then! XD
