Apart from loving whiners I really can't understand the logic of all this crying. The comic is about HS now, if you're not hooked to that bloody card game then you probably don't like the new episodes. Well don't bother with them at all. Simple as that. Lots of players are bored with WoW and still find HS somewhat fun so maybe the change is not that bad for everyone? And above all wth with the no respect to the people behind this site? They've brought so much entertainment to so many people for so many years. You don't like the way they are heading, fine. But why should they listen to trash talk, suddenly a bunch of whiners are paying them salaries and expect them to do exactly this and that? dafaq?

I agree with Sethlawl--

I actually play neither of these games, but I can enjoy the humor, anyway....

aracersss

you are the cancer of this comic

Sethlawl

Thank you for your kind words

No. No. Just stop right there. I made an account just to reply to this.

"Well don't bother with them at all. Simple as that."

It's this fucking "You don't like it? Deal with it and do something else!" logic that really aggravates me. If big companies like Blizzard thought like you did, then WoW would have died ages ago. These complaints are crucial to this comic's improvement, and just dismissing them as whining because you are too stuck up to take any sort of negative word against you and actually look at what we are 'whining' about, then you will lose your fanbase. It is the negative responses that cause a creator to consider something in order to keep his fans happy, and it is the mass negative responses that cause for change to happen! THIS IS HOW FEEDBACK WORKS!

"The comic is about HS now, if you're not hooked to that bloody card game then you probably don't like the new episodes."

"Lots of players are bored with WoW and still find HS somewhat fun so maybe the change is not that bad for everyone?"

First of all, 'not that bad for everyone' in no way means it's good for everyone either. Have you actually read any of these fucking comments? Have you seen how many people commented on this site during the original series versus now? The amount of positivity versus then and now? Go on and compare, i'll wait. If it didn't click in your head already: US COMPLAINERS ARE THE *MAJORITY* OF THE FANBASE, THE PEOPLE WHO ENJOY THIS HS STUFF ARE THE *MINORITY* (half of these jokes are hardly related to HS - Exhibit A: This beaten, dead horse series of Sparta slides, and all the other old pop culture references. Besides if you've even seen a bit of gameplay, it does not take a genius to understand the ones that ARE about HS), and when the MAJORITY of all your fans are complaining AND ABANDONING YOU, you KNOW that whatever you have done different is wrong!

"And above all wth with the no respect to the people behind this site? They've brought so much entertainment to so many people for so many years. You don't like the way they are heading, fine. But why should they listen to trash talk, suddenly a bunch of whiners are paying them salaries and expect them to do exactly this and that? dafaq?"

Omfg, you are thick as hell. We DO have respect for the author, and more importantly, his series! that is why we are pushing so hard for him to change! So he can improve what we once enjoyed! 'He's brought entertainment for so many years'. Yes, past tense: *brought.* You are lying to yourself if you think enough people find this entertaining to matter over the rest of us. As for you asking why he should listen to us (the 99% of his fanbase whom you so brazenly call trash, and whiners. I really hope he doesnt think like you.), i'll say it one. More. Fucking. Time: WE. ARE THE. MAJORITY, YOU. ARE. THE. *MINORITY*. If you actually paid attention to any of the comments since the beginning of this new series, you'd see that almost all of these comments are stating what is wrong and why (The fact that it's hearthstone isn't even the major problem, it's the fact that the humor is so stale, predictable and overused!) It's not called whining, or trash talk, IT IS *CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM*, which is WHAT SOMEONE NEEDS TO IMPROVE! And if the artists & authors here care about pleasing what remaining followers they have left and hopefully bringing back the old ones, then they should listen to these comments that are so desperately making complaints because they don't want to see their once-favorite comic series bomb like this!

To the authors and illustrators: Listen, (if you are listening, that is) your series was a fun ride, that second story you made was an ok change in pace and was successful in being a serious story, but this hearthstone series is trying SO hard to be as funny as tehglads, and it will never be. Your humour is far to forced, such as the attempts at re-occuring characters (even when it makes no sense in relevance to the highlighted card), we are over-exposed to it, such as your attempts to create continuous short stories for some of these cards, when this series is meant for, and can only be 'successful' in 1 slide jokes (e.g. Shieldbearer) and your comedy is just over all unfunny with your constant attempts at pop culture references (i.e. Shieldbearer, and most of the cards after this). It is just so blatantly obvious you are trying to recreate the hilarity and greatness of Teh Gladiators, but the problem is that you can't. Especially not with the way this is formatted. We love the original series far too much, and we were way too involved in it's story to give a hoot about some leper gnome from several cards ago recreating a scene from an 08 move/internet meme with a draenei for several slides. So your choices are to get some better material that actually works with the intended short and sweet pacing of this series, reboot Teh Gladiators (most preferable option), or just cancel Hearthstone and stop making these (I don't want you to give up, but look where you're at. Not nearly enough people pay attention to this your stuff and those who do don't even like this). Because at this point, me and most of us diehard fans have gone to other webcomics and only come back for the false hope that something has changed.

Here's a general opinion of your 3 series over the past years:

Comedy & Adventure series (Tehgladiators): Amazing!!

Story Driven Adventure series (A Lost Tale): Different; Intriguing. Overall OK.

Daily Dosage Gags & Comedy series (Hearthstone):

0/10; Terrible. NO

Here, let me format that final paragraph for the creators a bit better so it's clear:

To the authors and illustrators: Listen, (if you are listening, that is.) your first series was a fun ride, that second story you made was upsetting for many (cause we liekd TG so much), but overall an acceptable change in pace, and was successful in being a serious story. However, this hearthstone series is trying SO hard to be as funny as tehglads, and it will never be:

1. Your humour is far to forced, such as shoving re-occuring characters down our throats, like the leper gnome, even when it makes no sense in relevance to the highlighted card.

2. We are over-exposed to the same joke, such as your attempts to create continuous short stories for some of these cards, when this series is meant for, and can only be 'successful' in single slide jokes. Shieldbearer, and most other cards after this should have been 1 or 2 slides at the most, but you're taking it too far.

3. Your comedy is just over all unfunny, and made up of predictable jokes that are chuckle-worthy at best. You even inject pop culture references that have been used by SO many people, SO many times before. Again, I use Shieldbearer as an example.

It is just so blatantly obvious you are trying to recreate the hilarity and greatness of Teh Gladiators, but the problem is that you can't, especially not with the way this is formatted. We love the original series far too much, and we were way too involved in it's story to ever give a hoot about some leper gnome from several cards ago recreating a scene from a 2008 movie/internet meme with a draenei for several slides.

So if you care about your fanbase, then i'd say your options are this:

- Get some better material that actually works with the intended short & sweet pacing of this series

- Reboot Teh Gladiators series (most preferable option)

- Just cancel Hearthstone and work on something new

- Stop making these comics altogether (I REALLY don't want you to give up, but look where you're at: Not nearly enough people pay attention to your stuff and those who do don't even like this Hearthstone series)

Because at this point, me and most of your fanbase have gone to other webcomics and only come back for a quick check of the page with the false hope that something has changed, let alone for the better.

NO

I really don't like being so bitter, but it the honesty is necessary, especially compared to the sugar coating that these oh-so righteous defenders are trying so hard to do in your name.

My best suggestion would be to combine the 2 previous types of series into one: Create a Comedy Adventure series that is somewhat driven and since you no longer play WoW, have it revolve around some other aspect of Hearthstone than just the cards themselves. For example, you could follow one or more playable heroes (e.g. Uther) being introduced to the Hearthstone boardgame and playing against the other heroes and each expansion after (e.g. the Naxxramas, Blackrock Mountain x-pacs, etc). You could even make the main character the Dwarven Innkeeper and each comic could be about the possibly hilarious hijinks that go on inside his inn whenever the aforementioned heroes (or any avid hearthstone players in azeroth you could introduce yourself) enter with their decks and a board. You could even have it revolve around tournaments taht take place in this inn, etc. There is A LOT of potential for a great series out of Hearthstone, and I just believe you're barking up the wrong tree. all you need to do is explore your options a bit more, and play around with different ideas than what you are currently doing, because it hardly feels like you are trying right now, and your formula for these new comics are just "Insert leper gnome into random Hearthstone card" Which has effectively put the focus on said leper gnome and made the character or subject within the highlighted card feel like a side-character.
