And the orcs are bunch of idiotic savages. Seems about right.
Yet in Cataclysm it's actually the Orcs, Goblins, and the rest of the Horde that does those things ^^; Seems a bit ironic to me for the author to make this connection to the Alliance after playing Cata ;p

I like how the alliance are sounding like a mix of greedy, power hungry feudal lords, ravaging colonializers, and industrialization-era economic and political leaders that ruin the land and expend all its resources in the name of short-sighted "progress". It feels more real than how they are portrayed in warcraft, even though there's some corruption and greed going on there too.
