• TheWarr: 'Jawohl' doesn't have a proper translation but "of course" comes the closest in the english language ;)
• madmax: "Jawohl" means in this (military) context "Yes,Sir!"
  And the only time you might ever hear that in a normal context it is more likely to mean sth. like "yeah" (imho)
• Lord Black: ok, perfect translation to english of word "Jawhol!" is near to impossible, "Ja" in german stands for english "Yes" but adding "whol" changes the output world dramaticly. I'ts like with english word "go", alone it means only one thing, but in context it can change meaning dramaticly -"go back", "go away" etc.
• Altaâator: @madmax... normally little children say it, when you say they didn´t do something, but they did. It´s quite difficult, and it has nothing to do with "yeah".In the military context it is correct^^
• sanny: It's a more formal, oldfashioned, more complicated way of saying "Ja" which of course means "Yes".
